Miansai Rope Bracelets

Nautical Rope bracelets are a great way to add some color to your summer looks. If you're not ready for some bright orange pants, you can still hop on the color wagon with one of these Miansai bracelets. The utility rope is casual but the gold plated fish hook makes it polished enough to pair with a suit. Layer it with a watch or some other bracelets and you're ready to go.

F12: Michael Kors

I really love the overall graphic look of Michael Kors F12. The mix of furs, wool, cashmere and oversized pattern is presented in a very luxurious way, but that's really what Kors is about. You will have to check out the collection as a while because its amazing to see the parallels between mens and womens, but I just wanted to stick to menswear here. I love these big furry coats at the end! They don't give much shape which is why those skinny trousers pair with it so well. And do I even have to mention those big fur mittens?! Obviously a must have for F12.

New Sneaka Shoes

I got these new limited edition sneakers from Coach last week and let me just say: they are amazing. The tan leather is aged so that there are different shades of brown and has lots of thick stitching detail. Then they tie it up with vachetta laces; perfect. I am not normally a sneaker person unless I'm running out really quick, but I saw something special about these, so I just had to order them.

I wanted to go for something clean and casual, and decided this gingham shirt would get the job done. This gifted neon Nixon watch was a go-to piece for me last summer, and since the neon trend is still going strong, I predict you will be seeing a lot more of it this year too!

Please excuse my razor burn, and my laziness in not photoshoping it out.

Benjo's Laces

I was on my way to the park the other day and obviously I chose to walk up Newbury St. to get there. Stopping at many windows, Allen Edmonds was the only one to draw me inside. I could spot colorful laces on one of the shelves inside and I just had to take a peek. As  it turned out, they were Benjo's laces! Before that day I thought you could only buy them online. Since I was in the store, I decided to pick out a few pairs and found it difficult to decide on colors (if you follow me on Instagram, you saw all the colors I had to choose from!) I knew the blue laces would be perfect for my tan suede shoes and loved the red for my brown wingtip oxfords. I got the purple too, but I'm not sure which pair I'll put them on... possibly my plain brown lace-ups.

Check them out below!

If you're in Boston, please check out the Allen Edmonds shop on Newbury St. or go to for a complete selection.

F12: Bally Outerwear

We have some great outerwear coming our way this fall from every label, but these picks from Bally are truly exceptional. These five classic silhouettes are the least bit ordinary. Elevated materials and modern cuts make them luxurious but not over the top. (I'm also loving the practicality of zip-off pieces.)

Leather Weather

If I love anything more than this weather, its this Amaze leather jacket from Gap. Since there's no padding or insulation, its great for spring and summer nights. I was loving this striped shirt that I got on Super Sale for this outfit, and some white denim to lighten up for Spring. Then I chose the python belt to add some texture and little pops of red for surprise!

Happy first official day of Spring!!

I wanted to wait to post a Marni at H&M post so I could show you all some looks I put together from the collection. I put the first two pictures on instagram [Follow me: @michaeltyler88] the day I bought all of the Marni goodness, and below are some of my out fits from last week.

Louis Vuitton F12: A Closer Look

I wasn't quite ready to do a Vuitton post right after the show because there was just too much goodness to fit in my template! After having some time to let it sit and review it again, I feel I can give it some more attention. Kim Jones' first Fall collection for Vuitton is best looked at, in my opinion, up close. Don't get me wrong, Jones sent out some great looks, but I think the genius is in the details. Have a look and tell me what you think!

Going Green

I bought this jacket in December when it was a bit too cold to actually wear it. Today was the day! I was on the hunt for a cool dark denim jacket and I knew this was the one because of all the zipper detailing. I feel like if this jacket had a voice (I'm thinking soft, but raspy) it would say "wear me with color!" Good, we're on the same page.

Please excuse the trash behind me, I guess Boston is messy today

Michael Bastian: Fall 2012

Michael Bastian is always a hero to me when it comes to styling. His clothes are impeccably tailored and always layered in surprising ways. I am always inspired by his mix of casual and dressy pieces that are unexpected, but 'right' in every way. I've picked out 5 looks from his Fall 2012 show that I will be keeping in mind when dressing next fall.
