Yellow Steps

For the first time wearing these shoes, I wanted to keep it simple. I put on this basic chambray button down with a great pair of trouser-cut khaki denim. Since it was a warmer day, I went for this light weight corduroy jacket. I was loving a maroon sock for this shoe, so why not?

Golden Child

After seeing pictures of the new spring Cole Haan shoes, I had to stop in to the Newbury St. shop and see the beauties in person. This pair of yellow wingtips screamed "Michael give me a new home," my heart gushed and I happily obliged! The Colton wingtip oxfords combine suede and nubuck to create a lovely contrast in texture. Obviously, I had to check out the new socks to feed my obsession. The anchors were a must, and I decided to pick up the lobster socks as a nod to my home state of Maine.

Please check out tomorrow's post to see what I wore with them!

So many details... Including rubber bottoms to [hopefully] prevent me from falling on my ass

Alexander Wang Por Home

I found these cool mock-croc home accessories at alexanderwang.com. It's probably old news, but I had to post them because I love the matte finish on the leather. Pretty good pricing too, all things considered.

Marni + H&M

Looks form the new Marni for H&M collection have been released to build our excitement for March 8th. Hopefully I can snag one (or both) of these printed shirts. I adore the print in the first photo, so those swim trunks are also a must.
I'm a little disappointed with the socks pictured because they are a little too tame. Maybe the women's socks will be more outrageous? One can hope.

Cole Haan: Spring 2012

Air Franklin Wing Tip Oxford: $178

Air Colton Casual Wing Tip Oxford: $198, Air Colton Saddle Oxford: $198

Cole Haan has a great collection of brights this spring.
As always, Nike Air technology makes them as comfortable as they are good looking.
These definitely make it to the wish list!

Marni for H&M

March 8th is the release date for this new collaboration at H&M. I can't seem to find a complete look book online so the suspense is building. I'm not sure how I am going to feel about the menswear though, as it is reported to be more subtle than the women's collection. Hopefully it will not disappoint!

Newest Obsession: 1901 Oxfords

When I was at Nordstrom the other day, I spotted these colorful beauties from afar and just had to examine them up close. I am in love with these shoes for many reasons...
1. They are only $99.95
2. They are lightweight and have a great cushion on the inside
3. They come in so many fun color combinations, its nearly impossible to pick just one

Here are a few of my favorites...

More Fall 2012 Picks

I love these loafers/oxfords. EA has some great outerwear pieces this season too!

These hightop oxfords are probably my favorite shoe of Spring 2012. So cool!!
The embellished shirts is also on my DIY list. I'd better get started...

Happy February!

This is what I wore to a birthday dinner a few nights ago. I was particularly jazzed about wearing my new grasshopper pin from Coach. Its part of a new collaboration with the Estate of Tony Duquette and Coach, available in limited qualities. This one is gold plated with Swarovski crystals, blue lapis, and enamel.
